The handheld devices that run Microsofts Pocket PC operating system come with processor power and clock speed Id have been happy to have on my desktop PC not too long ago. Maybe this is why its frustrating when these devices run up against limits from which their comparably powered forebears didnt suffer.
Ive found a way around one such limit—the inability to run multiple instances of Pocket IE (Internet Explorer) at once—in a $10 shareware program from developer Peter Koch. The application, called MultiIE, adds an icon to the Pocket IE toolbar so users can open additional windows in Pocket IE, as well as switch among them.
